Learning objective
Recognise the minimum evidence needed for process analysis.
Follow the work as it happened
An event log normally needs a case identifier, an activity and a timestamp. Useful context such as team, channel, cost and outcome makes analysis richer, but data quality and lawful use must be assessed before drawing conclusions.
- Case ID connects one journey
- Activity names the recorded step
- Timestamp orders the work
- Context helps explain variation
